After 4 or 5 visits to the Trickle Inn we left Kamloops Sunday morning and after an uneventful trip we arrived in Golden. The night was spent at the municipal campsite. A nice spot in the center of town. Not many birds to record but we managed a Chipping Sparrow. Next day, Monday, we headed out for Brooks. The above shot was taken in Banff.
It was a long drive in great weather before we arrived at Tillebrook Campsite in Brooks. The clouds started to form in the evening and we had quite a thunder shower at night. Although windy the sun was shining when we woke up and we were out and about around 9 AM. The following shots were all taken in the Brooks area.
American White Pelicans (chasing a swallow)
The faucet in the camp had a drip and it was an oasis for many birds like this Common Grackle.

Tomorrow we head out to Cypress Hills and the Reeslor ranch. We will be in Mountain Plover country and although the chances of seeing one are slim we will give it a try. Bookmark the page if you want to continue to follow our journey. We have 2 months to go.
